:: Single scalloped center medallion surrounded by an elaborate covered field of expressive scrolled oversized paisley blossoms and checkered clusters of fruit interconnected by polychromatic vines. Main border in a partial Herati motif. Unique scaling and artistic merit throughout with abrashes across. Colors and shades include: Charcoal black, madder root red, brick red, powder blue, jade green, coffee brown, saffron yellow, beige, sand, dusty copper, and more. Condition notes: Areas of pile, knot heads and foundation. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. One end measures 10'9" whereas the opposing measures 11'2". This variation is within normal margins for hand knotted rugs of this type, age, and size. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Sultanabad carpet made in Persia circa 1920's vintage.
